Princess Pumpkin Craft

by Chris

My Two Little Princesses!

My Two Little Princesses!

My daughter and I did this pumpkin together for a contest at her preschool. The only reason I had even thought of using the evergreen stems was because we had just trimmed one of our bushes and the smell was everywhere.

What we did was paint a face on the pumpkin first and let it dry completely.

Then we gathered a couple of dozen stems from the tree we had trimmed and pushed the stem end into the pumpkin. This is how we made the hair.

My daughter really wanted her pumpkin to be a princess, so we made a crown for the pumpkin out of foam and wrote "Pumpkin Princess" on it.

She absolutely loved it and it won first prize!
