Letter Y Activities and Craft Ideas

For some reason, Y themed crafts and activities have been really difficult to find. I've seen some things done with "yak," but that just seems silly to me since children aren't likely to know what a yak is.

The other alternative to Y themed crafts and activities is to do some things with the color yellow and with yarn -- both are things easily conceptualized by younger kids.

My idea is to try things like:

• Finger paint with yellow paint.

• Color this printable Y template.

• Make paper plate yellow suns.

• Make a yarn collage on construction paper.

• Color a picture of a yellow school bus.

• Make a Y our of yellow playdough.

I'm sure there are lots of other great ideas out there, but these are just a few Y themed ideas I've come up with and used with my own kids.
