Irish Door Hanger

Door hangers aren't just for older children... little kids love them too! Here's one easy enough for younger children that also gives you a chance to talk about rainbows -- another little kid favorite!

What You'll Need:

  • A Paper Plate
  • Markers
  • Scissors

What to Do:

1. Cut the paper plate to look like a pot with a rainbow coming out of it. Use the diagram below for clarification.

2. Draw a line to separate the pot from the rainbow for youner children... otherwise they won't be able to visualize where the pot stops and the rainbow begins.

3. Use markers to color the rainbow and the pot. You can draw in a shamrock as we did in our example with markers as well.

When they get done coloring, show younger children how to hang their creation on a doorknob. Even my "bigger" child enjoyed doing this craft at age 7. This one was a big hit at our house!

If you want to jazz this one up a little bit, try adding some gold glitter or even gluing on some shamrocks cut out of green construction paper!

Everyone knows something about something...
You can turn that knowledge into a profitable internet business.

That's what I did with children's crafts and here's what I used!
