Egg carton tulips

by WC
(United States)

As a Spring craft for my pre schoolers we made tulips from egg cartons. Each child painted two tulips from egg cartons after I cut them out. They each painted two popsickle sticks green as the stems. I cut styrofoam balls in half (each child getting half). Have the child paint half of the styrofoam ball green (this will be the grass). After everything has been painted and the tulips have been hot glued to the stems. Let the child place the popsickle sticks in the styrofoam ball. This will make it look as if the tulips are coming from the ground. They turned out very cute and the kids loved it!

Materials Needed:

Egg carton
Scissors
Glue (Hot glue gun works best)
Styrofoam ball
Paint
Posickle stick
