Curled Twisted Walking Stick
People who hike or may require assistance while walking often enjoy creating a truly unique walking stick. It's pretty easy to do and would make a great project for scouts!
Here's what to do:
Locate a stick that you would like to use as your walking stick. It can be just about any size that works for you.
Once you have located a stick with the unique curled or twisted look you want, cut the stick to length and sand the appropriate amount of bark from the stick.
Apply up to four coats of oil based polyurethane.
Drill a small hole one 1" from the top of the stick and install a leather strap with beads. Also, install a rubber tip to protect the bottom of the walking stick.
